How To Mix and Match Chairs at Your Dining Table
Posted by Mariah Brown on Sep 8th 2021
When looking for dining room furniture it’s easy to choose a matching set, and maybe that's exactly the style you’re going for. However, you could be looking for more of an eclectic design or possibly you are just looking for new chairs to add to your existing table. Whatever your dining room vision may be, we hope this guide will help you. Below are some examples of our favorite pieces paired up in perfect harmony.
Matching Aesthetics:
Two of the best ways to match your chairs to the perfect table is keeping the leg style and color scheme consistent. Shown below is the Madison County Dining Table featuring chairs from the Porter Collection.
At first glance, you might notice all of the warm wood and vintage white tones. This stability of color helps to create the foundation for your overall room aesthetic.
Next, I want to point out that the legs of all pieces are in harmony. Although they are each a tad different, they share similar Bun feet and Saber styled back legs. This truly brings everything together, as you’ll again see in the following example.
Complementing Textures:
This next dining room looks a lot different from the design above, but uses the same two tricks of consistency. Featuring its tan earthiness, the Natures Edge dining table mixes wonderfully with the oak legs of the Jaspeni dining chairs. Not to mention, the black hairpin legs of the table also match the seats of the chairs to create more of a modern look.
Starting with the color again, in this case organic wood and clean black ensured these pieces would go together nicely. Finishing with the style of the legs, we loved the simplicity and contemporary feel of both collections and we think it serves as a good example on how to mix and match your favorite dining chairs to the ideal table.
Make A Room That You Love:
Mixing and matching your furniture can add a lot of character and style to a room. There are so many ways to do it, so as long as the combos you create make you feel excited to be there, then you're doing it right! One more trick-take lots of photos of your favorite pieces, and make a collage. This can really help bring it all together, especially if you're having a hard time visualizing the space.
